Public Biography
Renata Volkov is a circulating nurse in the surgical department of Codornices Medical Center in Berkeley, California, where she has worked since 2011, and has been assigned to Dr. Everett Lindqvist’s operating room for eleven years. She selected the radio station that plays in Operating Room 3 and has not been asked to change it.
Ms. Volkov was present on Oct. 13, 2026, when Dr. Lindqvist dismissed the Halsted robotic system from a gallbladder removal in progress. At his request she turned the room’s clinical guideline terminal to face the wall. Her account of the remainder of the procedure, in which the surgeon narrated each decision aloud, is the most detailed on record and is the one the hospital’s peer review committee has relied upon, having not yet reached that portion of the record itself.
